Jena Sims has the blonde bombshell thing down. But those obvious physical gifts are only part of the story as Sims immerses herself in more feature roles, already having Entourage, Dexter, Vampire Diaries, CSI, One Tree Hill, and Leverage on her résumé. With roles in Last Vegas and Kill The Messenger alongside Jeremy Renner, Ray Liotta and Andy Garcia, Sims is experiencing a career on the upswing.

BEST BEAUTY SECRET: I have two favorite beauty secrets: First is washing all of your make-up off every night no matter how many glasses of wine you’ve had! The second is to get plenty of sleep! Bobbi Brown skin care is my daily secret weapon in case I get more wine than sleep!

BEST DESIGNER SPLURGE: I spend money on spa days! I am a sucker for a good massage and facial from ritzy hotels! My mom has started a tradition of buying me a pair of Christian Louboutins when I book a big movie – so far I have four pairs!

BEST EARLY MEMORY: As a child, I loved swimming and pool parties. Since my birthday is in late December, I was never able to have one. So one year, my mom flew the family out to Hawaii, and threw me a dream birthday complete with a clown who made balloon animals!

BEST SECRET THING: I am petrified of sea turtles! I would wrap a snake around my neck and sleep with scorpions before I would jump in the ocean with turtles swimming around!

BEST SHENANIGANS ON THE LAST VEGAS SET: Kevin Kline would always come to set with funny stories! One day, he convinced me and some of the other actors that he got his start by dancing around in Vegas with Mark Wahlberg in a gold thong as members of the Chippendales.

BEST THING ABOUT KILL THE MESSENGER: This was a quick turnaround one! I had just landed from the Bahamas and my Atlanta agent called me asking if I could fly to Atlanta to film – DEFINITELY!! This was one that I didn’t think I had booked, because I auditioned for it several weeks prior and never heard back. What a surprise! I have a wonderful scene with Jeremy Renner and Robert Patrick where I play Robert’s character’s side kick in a way. He is a drug dealer that Jeremy’s character is coming to interview. We also have a very high energy cop bust in the scene! That day of filming was one of my most memorable thus far. Jeremy and Robert were so helpful and welcoming.

BEST 3 THINGS: Snapchat, laughter, shrimp tempura with spicy tuna on top!

BEST THING ABOUT BEING AN ACTOR: High risk, high reward. The gratification you receive when you book a job is like no other emotion I have ever experienced. Except for hearing my name on stage after winning Georgia Teen USA in 2007! It’s such a high that I don’t think anyone or thing could replicate! It’s so rewarding to be able to live my day dream that I work very hard for!

BEST INFLUENCE: Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston – Angelina for her charitable work and Jennifer’s comedy chops – I love a funny pretty girl!

BEST POSSESSION: To me, it isn’t about what you have. Possessions are nice, but I am most thankful for my happiness. I am a wildly positive person who tries to get at least one good belly laugh in daily. If I had to name one though, it would be my Rolex I got for my 23rd birthday!

BEST MOMENT YOU’D RELIVE IF YOU COULD: Recently, I had the opportunity to dance on stage with Skrillex at Hard Festival in Los Angeles in front of 40,000 people. It was such a heart pounding adrenaline rush moment unlike anything I have ever experienced! I would definitely relive that experience. I shared the stage with three of my close girlfriends and we were on cloud 9!

BEST TRIUMPH: Booking Attack of the 50ft Cheerleader. It was my first lead in a feature film which started my fan base, and my acting career. I almost didn’t take the gig, but thankfully I did because it has led to so much! The filming experience, Roger Corman, and the cast will always have a special place in my heart!
