MORGAN FREEMAN APOLOGIZES FOLLOWING SEXUAL HARASSMENT ALLEGATIONS

Hollywood megastar Morgan Freeman has apologized after being accused in a CNN investigative report of inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment by eight women.

Freeman’s statement read, “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”

The CNN investigation initially came about following the experience of CNN reporter Chloe Melas when Freeman was promoting his film, Going In Style. Melas alleges that Freeman looked her over and said, “You are ripe.”

Freeman’s accusers have worked with him at his production company, Revelations Entertainment and on various movie sets. One situation recounted by a production assistant was that Freeman attempted to lift her skirt on several occasions.

CNN also spoke to former staffers at Revelations Entertainment who claim to have observed Freeman’s inappropriate actions from alleged vulgar comments to sexual harassment.

Freeman follows the likes of Louis C.K., Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose and Harvey Weinstein to be accused of sexual harassment or abuse and in the era of the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up initiative, more women feel empowered to speak out.
