‘ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT’ CAST TALK JEFFREY TAMBOR WITH THE NEW YORK TIMES!

The cast of Arrested Development came together for a raw and eye-opening interview with the New York Times about Jeffrey Tambor.

Jessica Walter, Jason Bateman, Tony Hale, Will Arnett, David Cross and Tambor got candid about all the chatter surrounding Tambor. Walter, whose relationship with Tambor appears to be a work-in-progress, opened up about Tambor verbally harassing her on set.

She elaborated, “He never crossed the line on our show, with any, you know, sexual whatever. Verbally, yes, he harassed me, but he did apologize. I have to let it go.”

The show returns to Netflix for Season 5 on May 29, at a precarious time for Tambor who was pushed out of Amazon’s award-winning comedy/drama Transparent. Tambor, who was the show’s lead, was accused by his former assistant, Van Barnes, of sexual harassment, prompting an investigation which led to his dismissal. Tambor later admitted to yelling at and being mean to staff including the show’s creator Jill Soloway, but denied any charges of sexual harassment.

It remains to be seen how the new season of Arrested Development will be received and whether Tambor’s presence will negatively affect the show.
