The Man Who Killed Don Quixote has been a 25-year labor of love for Terry Gilliam, with the travails of bringing the film to screen perhaps more interesting than the final product. Closing the festival, the film stars Jonathan Pryce as 17th-century romantic Don Quixote who was determined to revive chivalry and bring justice to the world. In Gilliam’s piece, Quixote mistakes a present-day American commercials director (Adam Driver) for his loyal sidekick Sancho Panza. Also starring are Stellan Skarsgård and Olga Kurylenko.
