With glitter sprinkled around her eyes, matching a beautiful silver mini dress, the 35-year-old country star emotionally performed her latest song, “Cry Pretty,” in front of an encouraging audience who gave her a standing ovation.

It was Underwood’s first public appearance since a freak accident in November, falling at her home, leaving the “Champion” singer with a fractured wrist and gashes to her face that required over 50 stitches.

It was also a winning night for Underwood, who took home the Vocal Event of The Year Award for “The Fighter” with Keith Urban. It was an important night for Entertainer of the Year winner Jason Aldean who returned to the Vegas stage for the first time since the October 1 mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival that killed 58 people.
