ARIANA GRANDE, MILEY CYRUS AND ANDRA DAY LIFT SPIRITS AT ‘MARCH FOR OUR LIVES’ RALLY IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Ariana Grande was just one of the famous faces taking part in March for Our Lives rallies across the country and the globe on Saturday, March 24, 2018. The pop star belted out “Be Alright” at the Washington D.C rally which saw hundreds of thousands of celebrities, students and families raise their voices against gun violence.

The marches were inspired by the survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting that killed 17 students and faculty in Florida. One of those survivors, Emma Gonzalez stood in silence for six minutes – the amount of time it took the killer to carry out the massacre – before sharing emotional words with the crowd. The students were as defiant as they were hopeful that they will force legislative change, putting elected officials on notice. There were over 800 events around the world in support of the cause.
