Marcus (Babou Ceesay) and Jas (Freida Pinto) are a political force and a couple forming an underground movement in London in the 70s, a time of great racial upheaval. The fight is against pervasive prejudice against minorities and Jas and Marcus focus their efforts on the Black power Desk, a secret counter-intelligence task force who ultimately lead a probe into Jas and Marcus’ political activities. The consequences of their movement have a long-lasting effect.
