Lady Gaga made her grand entrance, standing, body suit-clad, at the top of the NRG Stadium for the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 5, 2017 in Houston, Texas.
The popstar kicked things off with a rendition of “God Bless America” and “This Land Is Your Land,” as drones lit in red and blue hovered in the night sky, representing unity. Many had anticipated a strong political statement from the social activist against some of President Trump’s recent actions, but Gaga kept her halftime show about the music.
Gaga, propelled by cords, flung herself through the air as she belted out “Poker Face.” Joined by dancers and impressive fireworks, the songstress then launched into hits, “Born This Way,” “Telephone” and “Just Dance.” And a Gaga performance would not be complete without a dramatic piano performance, in this case, reserved for “Million Reasons.”
